April Safety Tips

Vehicle Breaking & Entering

Recently, the Havelock Police Department has seen a significant increase in vehicle break-ins.  The suspect(s) are taking loose change, sunglasses, and other valuable items.  So far this year, forty-seven (47) reports have been filed for breaking and entering of vehicles compared to just twelve (12) last year for the same time period.

The Havelock Police Department would like to remind the community to remove all valuables from your car to include your phones, computers, guns, purse/wallet and other valuables. Please, lock your car doors. Most vehicle break-ins occur when the doors are left unlocked.

The vehicle break-ins are occurring all over the city; however, many are in the areas of South Forest Drive, John Court and Townhouse Drive areas.
