The Committee shall act in an advisory capacity to the Havelock Board of Commissioners and shall have the following duties and responsibilities:
To advise and recommend to the Board of Commissioners various cultural arts events and opportunities, such as, but not limited to, summer concert series, community cultural gatherings, art exhibitions, talent showcase events, plays, and social events for the City.
To plan, prepare and implement cultural arts events.
To assist City staff and the Board of Commissioners with public relations and advertising with respect to community participation in cultural arts events.
To inspire, encourage and engage residents, businesses, and property owners to participate in community cultural arts events.
