The Human Resource Office is responsible for recruitment for job vacancies including coordinating the applicant screening and testing process. Vacancies are posted internally to allow employees the opportunity for advancement, promotion or departmental change. If vacancies cannot be filled from internal posting, the position may be posted with the Employment Security Commission and advertised in the local newspaper. Depending upon the position and job requirements, the job vacancy may be advertised in the North Carolina League of Municipalities publications, professional publications and print media in other geographic areas in order to establish a diverse and qualified applicant pool.
