Fire & Rescue Annual ‘Brave Enough’ Fundraiser
As many of you know, October is our “Brave Enough” fundraising campaign kickoff. We have raised over $78,000 to support the needs of cancer patients in the area over the last five years! What started as a local ‘drive’ has grown into support movement from not only NC or the USA, but has finally crossed the Atlantic making this little fundraiser a global stand against cancer. We have sold thousands of shirts just about everywhere. Canada, Australia, Europe and China have all purchased Pink items from the Havelock Fire & Rescue online store!
Where does the money go?
All money received through this fundraiser is used to fund costs not typically covered by insurance companies and hopefully prevents the families fighting this terrible disease from additional unforeseen costs during their battle. All proceeds go directly to the “Havelock Fire Rescue Cancer Care Fund” and no money is used for “administrative” costs.

Havelock Fire Rescue Fund has paid for:
- Cancer event weekend for 23 children and their families at Atlantic Beach (Mile of Hope)
- Follow up mammograms
- Prescription assistance
- Nutritional supplements
- Wigs for chemotherapy patients
- Gas cards for transportation to and from treatment
