Investigators are responsible for investigating all major crimes. They also handle a wide range of misdemeanor crimes and special investigative assignments issued from the Chief of Police. Investigators conduct internal affairs investigations as assigned by the Chief of Police.

Investigators work eight hour shifts Monday through Friday and furnish on duty Criminal Investigators nightly, seven days a week.
